Why is the workshop useful?

Receiving transparent, constructive feedback allows us to learn and grow in our professional life. However if, as a new employee, you’ve never received significant feedback, it can feel affronting. Some people might find themselves questioning their ability, while others may be defensive. This workshop teaches productive ways of receiving feedback. It looks at the nature of feedback as a tool that enables employees to thrive and lays out frameworks to help participants learn from feedback with an open mind.

What will participants do in this workshop?

  • Reflect on how receiving feedback can benefit their professional development
  • Consider the triggers in feedback we are vulnerable to and which are particularly provocative for them
  • Uncover how they can self-regulate when they receive challenging feedback
  • Practise having conversations which will help them to understand and learn from feedback
