Design

Why is the workshop useful?

Organisations often have to reimagine how they do business in order to adapt to shifting markets and client needs. This reimagination requires innovation, creativity and divergent thinking, which can be especially challenging when solving ill-defined or complex problems. Design Thinking is a methodology championed by Stanford University that gives anyone the tools to think like a designer, solve problems creatively and find innovative solutions. In this workshop participants will explore both the underlying principles of design thinking and the iterative process that it involves.

What will participants do in this workshop?

  • Explore examples of how design thinking has been used to solve problems and leverage opportunities
  • The five stages of the design thinking process: Empathise, define, ideate, prototype, test
  • Work in teams to solve a problem using the design thinking framework
